The Tasmanian Government is committed to cutting red tape and making Tasmania one of the best places in Australia in which to do business.
The best way to identify red tape is to consult with business and industry across the State who live and work with regulation on a daily basis.
The Red Tape Reduction Coordinator has consulted extensively with business and industry and established a web-based portal for the broader community to also lodge red tape issues.
From these consultations, as well as engagement across government departments, over 70 agreed red tape issues have been identified so far.
This list of agreed red tape issues forms the baseline from which cutting red tape has commenced.
The Red Tape Reduction Coordinator will continue to consult and identify further agreed red tape issues.
If you have a red tape issue you would like to raise with the Red Tape Reduction Coordinator please email: Stuart.Clues@cg.tas.gov.au
This Red Tape Audit Report (2MB PDF) provides an overview of the progress so far.
