Dennis Hendriks
![]() | Dennis Hendriks is a senior Tasmanian public sector leader with more than two decades of experience driving economic growth, major investment and industry advancement across the state. Appointed in March 2025 as Executive Director Special Projects and Chief Operating Officer within the Office of the Coordinator-General (OCG), Dennis provides strategic and corporate leadership across the organisation. He works closely with proponents, industry stakeholders and government agencies to shape and advance strategic investment and commercial initiatives that support economic growth and job creation in Tasmania. Since September 2025, he has also been serving as Acting Coordinator-General. Prior to joining the OCG leadership team, Dennis held senior executive roles within the Department of State Growth, including Senior Director Major Clients, Acting Senior Director Advanced Manufacturing and Defence Industries, and Acting Executive Director Business Tasmania. In these roles, he led teams responsible for major industry engagement, client and project management, and the design and delivery of strategic programs and frameworks. Earlier in his career, Dennis contributed to regional economic development within Tasmania, supporting major industrial employers, infrastructure planning and collaboration with local government and community stakeholders. Dennis has been a long-standing contributor to Tasmania’s innovation ecosystem, serving as Company Secretary for Enterprize Tasmania Ltd and supporting the development of entrepreneurial hubs and statewide innovation initiatives. He holds degrees in Law and Arts, a Graduate Certificate in Business, and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. His professional development spans defence industry capability, economic strategy and executive leadership. Based on the Cradle Coast with his family, Dennis remains deeply committed to strengthening economic opportunity and outcomes for Tasmania and Tasmanians. |
